Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node On The Jawline

Hi, So about 5 weeks ago u was scratched by my cat and about a week after that I went to the doctor because a huge circular bump started to appear on my jawline I was told it was my lymph node that was swollen all three times I went to the doctor one the lymph node went down I was left with this pin pong sized bump sitting on my jawline and I was told by an RN nurse that it was a boil but is it common for a boil to appear after a lymph node has been swollen

Hello,

If the lymph node swelling is there for a longer duration, I suggest you get it checked by a doctor. He might advice for a biopsy of the same if he finds it unusual. If it’s just a boil, then antibiotics will help to get rid of it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
