Hello,
Brief answer: Swollen systemic
lymph nodes are a bit of concern need some investigations.
Explanation: My opinion is that the bite in your arm normally develops into inflammation,
redness, hotness, tenderness, and related lymph node swelling that means the lymph node under your armpit for example. Swollen neck lymph node is not related to original lesion, bad dentures or oral infections or even
scalp crusting can lead to this swelling.
I suggest my patients the following: Continue on antibiotic course, excision
biopsy may be needed, some labs like CBC, CRP. The information provided by you is not sufficient to provide a good opinion. If someone comes to me with this condition I would ask them about any cause for neck swelling, also rest of medical history, accompanying symptoms like
lethargy fever, etc.
Conclusion: I suggest you check with your general physician for more investigation and assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahmmad Gamal
