Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes Behind The Ears

I recently had a lymph node behind my ear swell creating a serious pressure pain. I believe that tells me I had an infection because I also had a cold sore on my lip but created sores below it. I have been experiencing hot flashes, night and day sweats, and irregular menstrual. I am 45 and believe I am going thru pre-menopause. with that said, I have a bulge inside the wall of my vagina in between vaginal and anal wall. Its not painful, but does not feel natural. I feel that I have also experienced vaginal burning but not bad just different. noticeable change in urine smell and color. I am not sure if this is something else or part of pre-menopause. I have made an appointment with a doctor but was curious what it could be. (I use tampons as well and may be concerned I may have left one inside. any thoughts would be appreciated

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it is due to an infection somewhere in the nearby area. Look for any dental cavities or swollen tonsil.

As of now, consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics. Nothing much to worry as most cases improve with antibiotics.

If persists better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
