General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Tuberculosis of lymph nodes can be treated by medications. In general, chemotherapy regimens that are effective in pulmonary tuberculosis are also effective in tuberculous lymphadenitis. It might take about 3 to 6 months for lymph node swelling to come down as it depends on the number and extent of lymph node tissue involved.

Close monitoring of the case during treatment is the key to success in the management of lymph node tuberculosis. Hence, kindly take the medication as prescribed and do the necessary follow-up as advised.

Hope I have answered your query.
