General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have history of having chronic mastoiditis since last summer. Now you are having swollen neck and fever associated with pain. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT. Get a repeat CT done so that any swelling or accumulation of pus or fluid can be detected. If confirmed your treating doctor will drain it and treatment will be done with oral or intravenous antibiotics, analgesic etc., depending on the severity of the symptoms.

Get treated at the earliest, neglect will lead to worsening of symptoms and complications like hearing loss, abscess, blood clot, etc. In the meantime for relieve you can take Combiflam, one SOS when required & a course of Augmentin. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
