Suggest Treatment For Swollen, Painful, Red Lump On Breast Bone

Hi, I discovered a lump on my breast bone a few months ago. It was the size of a small bean and was not painful at all. A couple of weeks ago it suddenly grew larger to 3-4 cm in diameter and had swollen and is now visibly red and it is painful. I also remember a period of excessive sweating during the night and I also feel very tired, sleepy all the time (even though I have a good night s sleep). Is it something I should worry about?

Hi!! As I understand from your history it seems to be case of epidermoid cyst which got either inflammed or infected. You will have to take oral antibiotic like amoxycillin clavulanic acid combination along with antiinflammatory medicines like serratiopeptidase aceclofenac combination. You will also have to apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin on the affected area twice daily and go for hot fermentation. This will help in resolving the infection but you will have to get the lump removed /cyst removed at a later date.
