Suggest Treatment For Swollen Red Bump Near Knee

I noticed a swollen bump near my knee last night. Today it is red and I noticed that it is warm to the touch. It is a little tender when it is touched but there is not a lot of pain. Any idea what it could be? I am mainly concerned of the signs for a blood clot..

Hi,

It can be most likely a hematoma (blood clot). Do you had any injuries? Better to get it examined by an orthopedist. Coagulation profile should be checked to rule out any abnormalities also. If those are normal then applying ice packs for initial 3 days and after that applying heat will be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
