Suggest Treatment For Swollen Sore Cyst On Forehead

I have had a cyst on my forehead and it s started off sore and really red and hard. It s getting somewhat better but is still swollen and it s very squishy and it doesn t hurt as much as it did. I feel like it s not going down or comming to a head. What should I do to help the process go faster.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the sore cyst on forehead sounds to be most likely a sebaceous cyst (benign condition of soft tissue). The medications can reveal primary pain relief with short time span, but the excision of the cyst under local anesthesia is best cure. The procedure of surgery is OPD based and day care surgery without any much discomfort or pain. Kindly consult your expert surgeon and get rid off the cyst at earliest before it gets infected and gives further complications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
