General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

One year of recurrent problems with tonsils, coughing, phlegm, raised temperature as you have explained needs to be investigated for that your GP can also get done. I would suggest X-ray of sinuses and chest. If there is any positive finding then CT scan of the area should be done.

Test of phlegm for tuberculosis, microscopy, culture and sensitivity. Tests of blood like CBC, ESR, foe diabetes, and any medical problem. All these investigations along with a second opinion of an NET Surgeon will help to get a proper diagnosis and thus allow a proper treatment as needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
