Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils And Soe Throat
hello, I have very swollen tonsils and a very very sore throat. I can not eat, drink, swallow, or even speak. My entire mouth hurts. I went to the doc yesterday, they did a throat swab but have not received back info from the lab yet. Pretty sure it is strep. Was prescribed penicillin, and have been taking it for 24 hours now, but the white pus patches in my throat are increasing and so is the pain, does this mean the penicillin is working? Also going for a blood test to rule out mono.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The pus patches in the throat seem t be related to streptococcal infection. I suggest using a cycle of antibiotics such as Amoxicillin three times a day for a week. I also suggest using a throat spray for antibacterial properties. I recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
Hope my answer was helpful.
