Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils Causing Difficulty In Swallowing

Hi, I have very swollen tonsils and there is white puss on them (may be yeast-not sure) but it is making it very difficult to swallow. It started developing after i gave oral sex for the first time a couple days ago. At first I thought it was just bruising but now i am not sure and fear it may be an sti or std however I dont think it would be evident that quickly. I am going to the doctor today however Im not really wanting to share my std theory as it does seam somewhat improbable and id rather my mom not know, but i will if I have to. PLEASE HELP ME.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
This could be upper respiratory infection with tonsillitis.
I recommend the following.
1) a course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water.

You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
Regards,
