Suggest Treatment For Swollen Vein Under The Tongue
Hi, i am a 26 year old lady around 65 kgs. Ths morn i woke up n suddenly th vein under my tongue became swollen. When i yawn or swallow i feel a sharp pain upto my neck. At first it didnt worry me coz i used to experience ths a lot when i was young. However it would last for jus a few mins. Ths one however has lasted 4 a whole hr and stl no change. Please advise
I can understand your concern. It seems that you have developed an ulcer under the tongue that is causing discomfort and pain while swallowing as well as yawning and the pain is referred to the neck.
I would advise you to apply local Benzocaine gel (Mucopain) to the area 3-4 times a day and you can do warm salt water gargles to keep the infection at bay. It should heal in 3 days.
However, if the lesion does not heal or worsens, you should visit a dentist for the clinical examination of the lesion and further investigations.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
