Suggest Treatment For Swollen Vein

I banged the vein on the back of my hand with a heavy electrical cord. The vein is swollen & is raised. The part of of the vein that is swollen is about an inch in length. The pain is radiating to my elbow & through my fingers and is increasing in severity. I can barely hold anything & it s painful just to type this message.

HI
Well come to HCM
Appreciate that
This may not be the vein injury because if this the one the this may cause huge swelling because this is rupture of vein and the blood escape from this, but this could be soft tissue swelling may be near the vein area
Advise:
Watch for the swelling, if this goes on increasing in size then this need to be clinically examined and sent for investigations
Treatment:
have some rest keep the part immobile
Medication:
Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day, hope this information helps.
