Hello thanks for asking from HCM
She is having symptoms like excessive optimism, grandiose ideas regarding power, decreased need for sleep, excessive activities, excessive and distractible thinking, racing thoughts flight of ideas, poor judgement, risk taking behaviour etc. These symptoms if we put together can become sufficient to make diagnosis of Mania in
bipolar disorder. But she is 14 years old and as per my opinion psychiatric consultation is must to confirm diagnosis. Bipolar disorder can be treated with proper medicines.
Mood stabilisers are commonly used in BPAD. Commonly
Sodium Valproate,
Carbamazepine, Lamotrigine, Lithium Carbonate etc are used. In some patients atypical antipsychotics are needed. Olanzapine, Qutiapine,
Risperidone etc are used. These medicines are prescription medicines and
consult a Psychiatrist for proper prescription.
Thanks, hope this helps you
