Suggest Treatment For Tear In Lateral Meniscus

Dear Doctor, I have a minor tear in my right lateral meniscus. The MRI report tells that and my orthopedic consultant told me to do an arthroscopy. I regulerly play football but I am our of the game now. Another consultant told me not go for a surgery if I am not playing. I want to play again. What would you suggest?
