Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain tingling in a single tooth can be DENTIN HYPERSENSITIVITY which is caused due to root exposure of tooth due to receeding gums due to gum infection or can be due to vigrous brushing and use of very hard toothbrush, brushing for too long all of this can lead to abrasion of tooth or teeth causing loss of enamel layer and leading to sensitivity which at times is very sharp in nature..

It can also occur due to acid erosion in acid reflux patients,or gum recession due to smoking.

In case it is in a single tooth and tooth is getting decayed it can be due to decayed tooth when the nerves are exposed any stimulus even air can cause severe sensitivity..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get an x ray done and in case it is dentinal hypersensitivity use of desensitizing toothpaste can help..

In case if there is formation of a smooth ditch near the gum over the tooth known as CERVICAL ABRASION filing of the same can relieve..

In case of dental decay root canal treatment can help..

Hope this information helps..
