Suggest Treatment For Tenderness In Thyroid Region

The past two months been goin to doctor about throat issues. Puss pockets, craters, red an irritated. Same response has been viral infection. I also have a lump on the left side of my neck. When to the doctor again for the third time and had four different blood tests. It s not strep, mono, or viral... All blood work looked good. I have an appointment with an ENT next week. However, the past two days, mostly evening time. The back of my neck starts to itch, almost like any bites. The front part of my neck is tender on down to where my thyroid is. And the back of my neck just below head is slightly tender too.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Itching with tenderness could be due to eczema, dandruff or allergy. Tenderness at front of neck denotes some form of infection related to cartilage ( perichondritis) or some kind of injury.

Take simple pain killer like Brufen for pain.

all the best, take care.
