Suggest Treatment For Tennis Elbow And Tendonitis

I have tennis elbow and tendonitis for the past 4 months and it still hurts. My orthopedist wants to cast it to totally immoblize it for a couple of weeks. I went to get a second opinion for an arm specialist and she suggest a coritzone shot. The othopedist does not recommend the shot. Please advise of your opinion.
