Dear Keertana,

WHO has recommended Tab. Mifepristone followed after 24-48 by Tab. Misoprostol for termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation. Alternatively, Misoprostol only regime may be followed.

These are prescription medicines and should be taken only with Obstetrician's prescription and advice.

These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby; hence in case of failure of these medicines, the pregnancy should not be continued, it should be terminated by some surgical method like MVA aspiration or so.

I hope this helps you.
