Suggest Treatment For Testicular Pain

For a few months now my 13 year old son has complained that his testicles have a pain in them. It is not a constant pain. Is this normal for him the be going through? Also I was worried so I asked if I could see them because I did not know if I need to take him the the doctors. They look normal. No redness but the left one is the one he says bothers him and I do feel and in the in side you can feel little bumps that are not present in the right one. Is this normal? I'm just concerned.

Hi..Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
The testicles are very sensitive, and even a minor injury can cause testicle pain or discomfort. Testicle pain may arise from within the testicle itself or from the coiled tube and supporting tissue behind the testicle (epididymis).

Sometimes, pain is caused by a problem that starts in the groin, abdomen such as kidney stones and some hernias may cause testicle pain.Other reasons of testicular pain are Retractile testicle (a testicle that pulls up inside the groin), this condition occurs in young boys. Mumps & Orchitis (inflamed testicle) can also cause testicular pain.

So you should visit a doctor if pain persists, He would check whether is pain is originating from testis or not & treat accordingly.

Hope this information helps.
