Suggest Treatment For The Blocked Ear

Hi there I have serious question, okay this morning I got my earring stuck inside my ear and I went to the hospital and they couldn t take it out so I m having surgery in two days to take it out, the physician wanted to start Wednesday because my ear is bleeding or something but my ear is filled with blood I think but they gave me ear drops so it doesn t get infected but after the last drop my ear feels completely plugged up, it didn t earlier it just felt like something was In my ear but now it feels completely plugged and everytime I burp or cough it hurts my ear is this normal or should I be concerned? If I put my ear in water would it take the blood out? Like when you have water in your ear and you put it in water it drains it? Would this work with blood too? I still have the earring in my ear canal until Wednesday but is there anyway to get the blood out because my ear feels plugged now and it hurts if I burp or hiccup or cough?

Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
The blocking sensation in your ear is due to ear ring foreign body, blood clots. Because of the foreign body in the canal and the injury it will cause edema of the canal and more blockage . Putting the drops may not be related to your increased blockage.
Everytime you burp or cough the air enters through the eustachian which connects ear and back of the nose it leads pain. Nothing to worry , it will resolve once the firiegn body removed .
Putting water into your ear will not help you, instead it can lead to ear infection.
I recommend the following.
1) Do not put water into the ear.
2) Wait till your ear foreign body removal.

You will be ok.
