Suggest Treatment For The Cramps In The Lower Abdomen

Hi, I'm a 29 year old, 181 pounds and 5'10" healthy female. For the past few days I have been getting bad cramps in my lower abdomen. It hurts to try to pass gas and hurts to try to have a bowel movement. I am also sweating really bad all day and at night. Sometimes they are hot sweats and sometimes cold sweats.

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

If I were your doctor, I would advise you not to eat any food from outside if you do. I would then get your stool tested for ova and cyst to rule out an intestinal infection, and treat it if positive. If all are normal, I would not hesitate to go for a thyroid function test for you considering the history of sweating and cramps. Further management would depend on the reports of investigations.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
