Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of inability to smell due to persistent nasal congestion which seems to be due to inflammation of nasal sinuses.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you apply warm compresses on the nose. You should keep your head elevated while sleeping and take steam inhalation on a daily basis. I would suggest you consult an ENT specialist for proper examination. The doctor may order a CT scan, nasal endoscopy and blood tests. The doctor may prescribe antibacterial along with a decongestant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
