Suggest Treatment For The Pain In The Throat While Swallowing
On friday night i had a sudden pain in my throat / Trachea area. It happened while i was swallowing a beverage. It was really sharp, as if i swallowed something and it got stuck. Its been hurting since then. It is now sunday. My neck/throat also hurts on the touch. I do have heart burn ( as in chronic ) I drink. I smoke. I love spicy foods. Anyway, i can eat and drink, but my neck hurts to the touch, and it does hurt to swallow, as if i have something stuck in my throat. But i am pretty sure there is nothing stuck in my throat. Thoughts ?
You could be suffering from sore throat. Is there history of fever? If yes then antibiotic therapy is also needed. I would suggest you following things:
> Take acetaminophen for pain. > Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect. > Take boiling water in a pot, put your head over the steam and cover whole with a sheet. Take deep breaths in it.(Avoid getting closer else it might cause burn). Do this twice a day.
AVOID: > Chilled water > Drinks > Spicy food
