Suggest Treatment For Thick And Dark Lips Along With Dryness

my lips are dry and removes skins every time if applied any lip balm or something. Due to this it has become thick and dark. my doctor said it may be due to some deficiency and advised vitamins and flucort acetonide cream. please advise me is this correct to remove the thickness and dark colour of the lips?

Welcome to Health Care Magic Team.

Understanding your concern. As per your query thick and dark lips along with dryness is due excessive licking of lips along with dry climatic condition , which remove the natural moist layer from the lips .The most probable cause of dark outline around your lips is hyper pigmentation which is generally caused by excessive exposure to the UV rays .Fungal infection is also one of the cause.

I would suggest you to - use petroleum jelly.
- drink lots of water
- avoid to stay in dry environment for longer period
- Avoid using creams containing high steroid

Wash your face with mild soap twice a day and avoid licking your lips . Use lip balm which can be directly applied rather than if you use finger it will cause spreading of infection again and again whenever you will apply with finger. As far as hyper pigmentation is concern avoid exposure to UV , cover your face while going outside or use creams with SPF factor apart from this healthy diet(green vegetables and fruits) containing lots of vitamins play miraculous role in treating hyper pigmentation.
