Suggest Treatment For Thick Mucus In Throat, Elevated BP And Weakness

My mother is 92. She has a lot of thick mucus, BP elevated to 180/60, more lethargic, weakness. Takes Losartan Potassium q am. Can I give her another dose now. Has an area of Cellulitis on lower lt leg. Went to ER last Thurs. Given IV antibiotic and Sulfamethoxazole-TMP Ds 1 q 12 hrs. Saw PCP on Fri BP down to 118/60 started on Torsemide 5mg q day. Possible CHS? Worried about BP and congestion!!!

I really appreciate your concern, for the congestion she can be given mucolytic agent and antihistamine, some time may need antibiotic too, but prior to this better to get done the routine blood test and x-ray of chest too, over all she may be in need of complete clinical examination, and can not be managed symptomatically, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
