Suggest Treatment For Thigh And Leg Pain

My left thigh really hurts after I've been sitting down for a long time. It's been happening for a long time now but a couple of weeks ago whilst I was playing hockey my leg was in a lot of pain, I hadn't even been sitting down. Is there a medical term for this?
