Hi, My throat was sore yesterday then went away, this am I was feeling very light headed dizzy for a few hours and pm my throat is very sore even painful to swallow saliva, I do not appear to have a temperature, My daughter looked at my throat and said there were yellow spots as if infected. I have only had tonsilitis once very badly in my life, What do you think it is ? Should I see my GP?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have Bacterial throat infection or bacterial pharyngitis and the yellow spots are pus pockets as a result of infection.. You need not to worry and can start taking antibiotics like AZITHROMYCIN 500 mg once daily for 7 days, IBUPROFEN 400 mg [Advil or Motrin] thrice a day and chew one Vitamin C pellet daily.. Do warm saline gargles and avoid spicy and hard foods to prevent further irritation. Also avoid chilled drinks and foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
