Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Tingling Sensation Below The Eyes

Hi Dr! The last 2 weeks I ve had a tingling sensation under my eyes and the ridges of my nose, with throat pain. Dark circles under eyes too. Last 3 month every now and then I would get yellow mucus when clearing my throat, I tried allergy meds, steam, hot compress, nothing works. Did a sinus xray which turned out normal. Any ideas Dr? I m grateful for your help!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have throat pain and tingling sensation below the eyes which is mainly due to accumulation of secretions leading to post nasal drip. The symptoms can also occur due to allergic reaction or ieeitation to nerve or neuralgia. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles , apply warm compresses to face and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl. You should take proper antibiotic course for 5 days. You should take antiallergic medication Sinarest as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get routine blood test and throat swab done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Certain medicine can also cause tingling sensation as side effects.
