Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain While Swallowing Despite Taking Antibiotics

So I have had a cough and for over a month and it started with me losing my voice and a cough and after 4 different antibiotics and 2 weeks of being done with the antibiotics I still have a lingering cough and it hurts when I swallow in the lower part of my throat feels almost like something is stuck. Not sure if I should give it some more time or go to an ENT for them to check me out and at times I have pressure in my ears that penetrates down my neck.

Hello,

I think you may be suffering from allergic bronchitis with rhinitis with eustachian tube block. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use water vapor inhalation thrice a day and salt water gargling.

Check for your eosinophil count status. Check for allergy. Use tablet montelukast at night for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
