hi, I have tingling and numbness in my left hand. It has been so for 3 days now. I have thyroid disease but am not on medication at the moment. I am concerned because I also have constant palpitations and an increasingly irregular heartbeat. I am 37, 5ft 3 and 9st 7 Thanks

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi ,your symptoms are suggestive of hyperthyroisism. If I were your treating doctor I would first test your thyroid function(TSH ,free T3, free T4) and then i will start with the treatement(methimazole). The daily dose will be decided after the thyroid test results.Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
