Suggest Treatment For Thyroid With Excess Fat

after taking the medicine of thyroid i.e. gravitor ,shelcal-500,thyroxine sodium 50 mcg,omez,omnacortil-40 i am suffering from swelling of leg ,weakness in body, excessive fat in body please give me the appropriate sugestion for the cure of this problem

Hi there,

Omnacortil is a steroid and 40 mg is quite high dose. This could well be causing weight gain with weakness. But I can't say from the info provided, whether you need such high dose. It also depends upon the duration for which you have been taking this drug.

Other possibilities could be inadequately controlled hypothyroidism, simple obesity for ypur weight gain.

To reach to a final diagnosis, you should be properly examined and investigated.
