Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
since yesterday i have had tightness in my chest and back and aches down my left arm it feels like indigestion but having taken remegel about 8 since yesterday it doesnt seem to have got any better, i feel unwell, i feel sick, and keep having sweats, i feel if i could burp i would feel better
Hello and welcome to HCM, Indigestion can produce tightness in chest and back, however, when associated with aches down the left arm and sweats a cardiac or heart disease should be suspected. I am of the opinion that you should consult a cardiologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations. Ischemic heart diseases can produce symptoms of chest pain, tightness, pain running down the arm and sweating. A ECG, echocardiography and stress test/ treadmill test will help to determine the cause of these symptoms. Appropriate management can be planned after getting results for these investigations.
Thank you for trusting HCM. As per history its a case of gastric reflux disease but before this one EKG is must. Your age, sex, occupation etc would have given some better light on the condition. Visit your doctor soon.
Regards!
