General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are rare cases when shingles shows with skin symptoms like burning and pain but no lesions come out on the skin.
Still, in most cases shingles is treated with painkillers like paracetamol and high doses of ibuprofen and local cold compresses so you can try these to help with your symptoms.
The symptoms should not last more than 10 days so if you notice that the pain is not better or is getting any worse, please see your doctor again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
