Suggest Treatment For Tingling And Numbness In The Little And Ring Finger

I broke my left arm in the neck of the humerous bone 9 weeks ago. My arm is still healing. About 4 weeks ago I noticed tingling & numbness in the pinky & ring finger. Now I feel radiating pain like I hit my funny bone several times a day. The numbness never goes away. Is there any relief?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the tingling and numbness in little and ring finger after trauma over left arm indicates possible nerve compression involving ulnar nerve most likely.

* The same can be related to plaster cast or slab applied to heal the bone crack or fracture or initial injury related nerve damage.

* In my clinic, I do recommend , a detailed nueorlogic evaluation with sensation, motor function and reflexes of upper limb to find the root cause of nerve damage level and if needed an MRI may be of immense help for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
