Suggest Treatment For Tiredness And Difficulty Sleeping

My son who is 9 yrs. old is sleeping an excessive amount of time which is very out of character. I always have to wake him in the morning and he stills says he is tired. He will take naps and fall asleep when traveling which is also not normal for him. His coloring is also odd. He looks quite pale at times.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

I would suggest you to consider a few things.
1) Is he stressed out for some reason?
2) Is he gaining weight?
3) Is he having excessive physical activity after getting up?
4) Is he sleeping late?
if there is nothing among these things then you should visit a doctor regarding the problem. He might want to check his hemoglobin or thyroid levels and also look for other causes of laziness.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
