General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be due to pregnancy or just a usual colicky type of abdominal pain. Please wait for your next period, if it is delayed for more than 7 days, then I suggest you to to a urine pregnancy test to check for pregnancy. The tablets that you are on for cholesterol do not interfere with the pregnancy test results. Please use appropriate contraceptive measures if you do not wish to conceive at this stage.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
