Suggest Treatment For Toe Pain

Hi, I have a sharp pain in my second toe on my right food, it is not swollen, it only pains when I am bending down and have my foot is also bent. Very occasionally a sharp pain might happen when I walk but not very often. I have this problem years, it usually doesn t bother me much. It is happening more often lately, in the last month I have been wearing flip flops every day would this be part of the problem. What would have caused this to happen in the first place.
