Suggest Treatment For Tonsilitis

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi ive just started calvapen 666mg three per day, ive tonsilitis havnt had it in years and the gp has also prescribed difence twice per day, theres no response to even the difene, as yet and the pain is very strong how l whenever i swallow, how long should it take to have any impact

Hi..
Thanks for the query.

As per your complain as you are having tonsillitis that is inflammation of tonsils and can take from 2 to 3 days for relieving the symptoms..

The medications given to you that is Calvapen [Penicillin] and Difenac [diclofenac] are suitable and you should continue with the same..

For faster resolution you can also do warm saline gargles..
Suck throat lozenges..
Chew Vitamin C pellets..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and drink plenty of warm water..

In case of no improvement in next 2 to 3 days consult an ENT Expert and get evaluated..
