Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis And Throat Infection

Is it possible for your tonsils to deform after the healing process of a severe throat infection? , I m like a day or 2 out of the woods of the worst thing I have ever had in my whole whole adult life , and even lost 6 lbs , I ve now noticed that the side that hurt the worst no longer looks like it used too and it almost looks ripped apart and there is even a peice that sticks straight out and it hurts and it s sensitive to warm or cool food/drinks , and when I swallow in general it feels like I m swallowing the tip of a tooth pic I m going to see my doct tomorrow for a follow up , but it s very concerning to me and it freaks me out Thank you for your input

Hello,
Because you describe a severe throat infection, realize it takes time for a great deal of inflammation to be reduced and your throat to heal completely. I am glad that you have scheduled a visit to see your doctor. The doctor may do an additional tests to check if there is any resistant infection remaining. You may need additional antibiotic treatment. Your tonsils are one of the first lines of defense to fight infection. Chronically inflamed tonsils may be recommended for removal. In the meantime, rinse your mouth with warm salt water and avoid all irritant. This includes alcohol, smoking, acidic and spicy food. Consider taking some anti-inflammatory medication such as Tylenol or Motrin to reduce discomfort and inflammation.
Thank you for your inquiry. I hope you will be recovering quickly and feel better soon.
