Suggest Treatment For Tooth Ache And Congestion In The Nose
My tooth has been aching very slightly lately, I've had a runny/congested nose for a couple days, my voice has been kind of scratchy, and it hurts when I sniffle hard. Also, when it's quiet I can head a sound similar to ringing. Is this just a cold or should I be worried?
As per your query achy tooth/teeth along with congested nose and scratchy voice and ringing in ear or tinnitus can be due to sinus infection causing post nasal drip that can also be leading to ear infection causing ringing in ear.. As the upper teeth are very close to the sinuses there can be aching in teeth caused due to sinus infection.. For ruling out the exact cause consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room.. You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
