General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are still having symptoms of infection such as pain , swelling, then it is possible that the infection is not improving.

It is possible, if the infection has not resolved, that the bacteria causing the infection is resistant to the antibiotics used.

It would be best to see your dentist to determine if this is the case so that he or she can suggest alternative medication if needed.

I hope this helps
