Suggest Treatment For Tooth Sensitivity

Every now and then I get sensitivity in my canines. Sometimes its when I bit my nails a lot or just randomly. Sometimes breathing through my mouth causes it to tingle(?). My gums are fine, I believe I grind my teeth when asleep. Dunno what it could be.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like you have Dentinal Hypersensitivity of canines and biting nails can very much cause wearing of enamel leading to sensitivity..
Grinding of teeth can also cause sensitive teeth..
So my suggestion is to consult a Dentist and get evaluated so that the exact cause of sensitivity is ruled out..
For now you should start using anti sensitivity toothpaste, apply it over the teeth and leave for half a minute and then brush it off..
Avoid very hot or very cold foods..
Also limit intake of acidic foods and carbonated drinks..
If you have teeth grinding habit then your dentist will advise you night guards to avoid wearing of teeth..

Hope this helps..
