Suggest Treatment For Torn Ligaments

i went to a dr about three weeks ago and she said i torn all my ligaments in my right ankle.Which is my weak ankle.she told me to do my abc with it. but i still can only get to d before i feel like i ran a mile.what else could i have done to it and how can i convice my mom to take me to my speialist.
