Suggest Treatment For Trigeminal Nerve Damage

Hi, thankyou for taking this time for patients with facial nerve damage. I have trigeminal nerve damage due to a fall in which I broke my cheek bone. It has been just about two years that I have been in pain, and it took several months to finally determine what I have. I am supposed to take 2700 mls of gabipenten and 150 Mls of lyrica a day which is not helping me. I am very frustrated. Is there anything I can tell my doctor to change or something he might do different to help me. Thankyou YYYY@YYYY

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms if you are not finding

relief after taking Gabapentin and lyrica then you should consult your

treating physician and get evaluated and he/she can change your medicines

to other drug that are used to relieve neurotic pain like Carbamazipine

which is fist choice drug to treat pain caused by Trigeminal neuralgia..

In case if the pain does not relieve any medication then surgical treatment

like Gama knife radiosurgery has to be done to relieve pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
