Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my husband was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma stage 4 he had a tumor wrapped around his spinal cord he got surgery and going through chemo and he already finished his 6th cycle we haven t had sex for like 5 months already but like 4-5 days ago we tried it with protection and he couldn t so we stopped but 2 days ago we did it again with protection but since he couldn t feel anything he took it off for like 2min but he didn t finish inside (I know too much info) but my question is should I be concern? Can something happen to me?
Well, since your husband is under treatment for Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and already undergone surgery as well as being given chemotherapy for a tumor around the spinal cord, he is unlikely to have sensation during sex/intercourse; which may improve with time. This is non-communicable disease hence nothing to worry about it.
Since he is getting an erection you both can carry on with protected intercourse if the health of your husband allows. No concerns at all. Rest of the things you can very well discuss directly with the Surgeon who operated and the Oncologist who is giving chemotherapy and be assured.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
