Suggest Treatment For Twitching Sensation Across The Chest

Hi, I have experienced a twitching like condition across my chest, left and right sides as well as my back. Not necessarily painful but noticeable. I also have had a pain that came and went in my left arm. The twitching has been happening for about three months. While on vacation about 3 weeks after the issue started it seemed to stop for 9 out of 10 days. Upon return to work it returned worse than before. I ended up going to an emergency room because of the location of the pain/twitching. My heart checked out fine. I have an anxiety issue that may have started from inadvertent poisoning (pesticide) about 5 years ago while trying to save my fruit trees from beetles. At that time I developed a 2-month long condition where I felt a great deal of pressure on my chest as well as if I was wearing tight sleeves on both arms. My neck muscles were very tense. After a stress test and many blood tests nothing was found and the symptoms went away. Since then I have had anxiety when flying, riding subways and most tall buildings, towers, lighthouses. I would be interested in hearing any suggestions. I am seeing a doctor now but I just started with an new primary care doctor and of course he wants to go through the obvious. Today I saw a cardiologist and he said we will do a stress test but he was pretty sure it is not heart related since the symptoms improve with physical activity. Thanks for you help.

I went through your details. Very nice to hear that you underwent all those cardiac tests to rule out the possibility of cardiac diseases. But your twitching should be addressed positively. Once you leave out cardiac problems and chest related problems, left out are muscular contractions and anxiety related reflux.

Muscular contractions can be treated with right kind of muscular drugs and in case anxiety related reflex, exercises, psychotherapy and meditation will help you managing the anxiety and its symptoms. please consult a psychologist for further information.
