Suggest Treatment For Typhoid Fever In A Child While On Cefixime

My 4 year old son had typhoid fever and he had been given cefixime 5ml=100mg , 8ml twice a day for 10 days and he is fine and fever is not there. Some times he gets lot of burps while eating. He is having omitting sensation sometimes. What precautions to be taken please advie

Dont worry it's not a serious condition.
I think your son is suffering from functional dyspepsia.
In this condition patient may have upper abdominal pain, burping, nausea and vomiting. It has no specific underlying cause.

Reassurance is the main stay of treatment.
Sometimes symptomatic treatment will help you such as syrup Ranitidine, and syrup Domperidone.

I think it will help you.
If no improvement occur then consult with your son's treating doctor.
