Hi sir/ madam, I am suffering from fever typhoid . I have cross check my temperature was normal like 98.4f and my body temperature normally97.4 , I done the blood checkup they found typhoid, Question is , I don t have temperature but I am taking the taxim o 200g daily two dose ,at the same time I am suffering cough also , can I continue this tablet .my age 36 old. Hello and welcome to HCM, The antibiotic treatment that you are taking is appropriate if you have been diagnosed with typhoid fever after clinical assessment and relevant investigations. Typhoid fever is characterized by fever and gastrointestinal upset. Widal test is done to confirm the diagnosis. The treatment for typhoid fever is antibiotics of the group cephalosporin, the one that you are already taking. Cough is probably not associated with typhoid fever. If the cough is dry one, you can take anti-tussive cough syrup for relief.
