Suggest Treatment For Upper Lobe Kidney Infection

I have left upper lobe kindney infection, never been so sick in my life, on antibiotic for two weeks, however i am concerned because i am still having kidney pain, so much so at times i find myself guarding area with hand, is this to be expected? How long does it take before i can expect pain to decease, at times it is acute, for the most part it aches most of the time.

If the infection had completely resolved the pain should be decreasing.

Since it is still present, it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.
You may need imaging of the kidneys and the other structures in the area.

Blood tests would also be needed to check for persisting infection, this would include a full blood count which would look at the white cell count, this goes up in infections.
